Buddhist Woodblock Sutra

The Korean peninsula has a rich history of printing. According to UNESCO, "more than seven hundred years before Gutenberg and five hundred years before the invention of movable metal type, artists under the Silla dynasty had achieved great proficiency in woodblock printing”.
This remarkable find—a wooden printing block adorned with hanja characters from the Chosun Dynasty—is over two centuries old. It represents a page from ‘Record of Worthies’ Volume One, Page 54.
