We invite you to participate in our grantmaking process by joining our Community Grants Committee (CGC). CGC members are volunteers who bring a wide range of professional and personal experiences to help KACF-SF invest in our community.

As a CGC member, you will:

  • Deepen your understanding of the critical issues affecting the Korean American community.

  • Gain hands-on experience with the philanthropic grantmaking process.

  • Connect and collaborate with other community-minded individuals.

  • Drive meaningful change by being part of the solution.

Commitment & Schedule

The approximate time commitment is 12–15 hours over three months. Training and recommendation meetings take place on weekday evenings, while site visits to nonprofit organizations are conducted during weekday business hours.

Please stay tuned for our upcoming CGC volunteer announcement, which will include full details on how to get involved.

If you have any questions, please contact Amy at amy@kacfsf.org.

“The CGC gave me the opportunity to [understand how local nonprofits that KACF-SF supports] are positioned to address culturally-specific issues. I was also grateful for the opportunity to work with other CGC members who bring such a diverse range of backgrounds and life experiences.”
