24th Annual Domestic Violence Day of Remembrance

  • usan S. Muranishi Alameda County Administration Building Plaza 1221 Oak Street Oakland, California, 94612 United States (map)

Each October, communities across Alameda County come together to recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month and reflect on the lives affected by intimate partner violence.

As part of this annual observance, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office invites you to join us for the 24th Annual Day of Remembrance on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Susan S. Muranishi Alameda County Administration Building Plaza, 1221 Oak Street in Oakland.

The Day of Remembrance provides an opportunity for families, community members, service providers, and public agencies to gather in memory of those whose lives have been lost to domestic violence, while also raising awareness about the lasting impact domestic violence has on families and communities throughout Alameda County.

Community exhibits and informational tables will open at 10:30 a.m., followed by the reading of names beginning at 11:30 a.m. The event will conclude at 1:00 p.m.

We hope you will join us for this meaningful annual gathering.

Thank you for helping us preserve the memory of those we have lost and for standing with our community as we continue working to increase awareness, support survivors, and prevent domestic violence.
