SALY LEE, Operations Manager

Saly comes from the non-profit and art education fields, where she has worked as an administrator, educator and artist for over 15 years. She has developed and overseen culturally based arts programs for leading art institutions such as the Seattle Art Museum and, most recently, the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco (AAM). At the AAM, she designed and implemented the annual Korea Day program, one of the first large-scale, Korea-related public programs that now brings more than 2,500 visitors to the museum every year. Community engagement and non-profit service work has always been very important to Saly, and she currently serves on the board of directors at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center.

A traditionally trained ceramist, Saly has exhibited her artwork internationally in Europe, Japan, Korea, and the United States. She received a masters in Arts Administration from the University of Oregon, and her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa. Saly was born in Busan, Korea and has been living in the Bay Area for the last 8 years.
