KACF-SF Hosted Special Talk with "Inspirational Women Pioneers in STEM"

KACF-SF hosted a special event to enjoy conversation and lunch with three extraordinary and highly accomplished Korean/Korean American women in STEM fields, with more than 40 attendees on July 15. 

Moderated by Christine Moon, three pioneering women scientists, Soyeon Yi, the first female astronaut in South Korea’s history and only Korean to travel to outer space; June Lee, a UCSF professor recognized for her work in translational medical research and COO at MyoKardia, a biopharma company pioneering new approaches to targeted therapies for cardiovascular diseases; and  Songyee Yoon, CEO of NSCOFT West and CSO at NCSOFT, a global leader in the online game industry, with a PhD in computational neuroscience, shared fascinating stories about their careers and advice for the younger generation.
