Mina K. Mok

Mina has been building bridges between cultures throughout her life, having lived in Korea, Pakistan, Japan, and the U.S. She now considers the San Francisco Bay Area her home and is thrilled to have the opportunity to build relationships within and for the Korean American community, as a contributor to KACF-SF’s work. Mina’s cross-cultural life experiences not only enabled her to speak fluent Korean, Japanese, and English but also instilled a passion to serve people across different communities. Mina is the founder of mayarecruiting.com, which specializes in cross-cultural recruitment, global talent acquisition, and international expansion. Previously, she worked in business development between Korea and the U.S. for global companies and also served in the public sector at the United Nations and the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC. Mina received her BA in International Relations from Syracuse University, and her MA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She, her husband Jay, and their daughters cherish the rich diversity and warm weather of the Bay Area.

“KACF-SF provides an amazing opportunity for Korean Americans to collaborate and build a stronger community. Even within the Korean American community there are many sub-cultures, and I look forward to helping build bridges to help grow KACF-SF.”
