Participate in KACF-SF's Grantmaking with the 2017 CGC!

We are pleased to invite you to join the 2017 Community Grants Committee (CGC), KACF-SF's participatory grantmaking committee. Members of the CGC are all volunteers who work in small teams to review grant applications, gather information during site visits, and make recommendations for funding that will be considered by the KACF-SF Board of Directors.

As a member of the CGC, you will have the opportunity to learn about issues affecting the Korean American community and grassroots solutions, as well as apply your own expertise and professional/personal experience in helping the Foundation invest in our community.  Read about experiences from members of our 2015 and 2016 CGC here.

To be considered for the CGC, we ask that you complete and submit an application by Tuesday, September 5, 2017

To ensure that you have the optimal experience and are fully prepared for the work of the Committee, you must commit to attending the three (3) in-person meetings listed below; participating in at least one site visit to which you will be assigned as part of a team; and participating in one or two conference calls with your team to discuss the assigned proposal prior to the site visit and to discuss recommendations following the site visit. The meetings are mandatory.

Site visits usually occur on weekdays during business hours and may require you to take a half day off from work per site visit. Site visits will take place throughout the Bay Area and location details will be provided at a later date. We will make every effort to match you with a site visit location that is as convenient for you as possible.
